Feedback
- Incorporate dnd kinda stuff. There needs to be some sort of complexity, some variance. I need to feel like I have influence other than just “I hope I draw the cards I need”
- Needs to be some sort of resource management. How can you make it feel more than punch a boss, then punch a boss, then…
- The story does not necessarily lend itself to a pure boss rush
- Need to incorporate some sort of scaling, cant just walk into the final boss with the starter deck and win
- How can you make it feel like you’re getting rewarded for fighting a boss, and actually improving
- Make it so power scaling is intuitive and fun
- Think about card deck-building games, do research on what make these games fun. There is often a player responding and adapting to what you play. I dont have that luxury, so the complexity cannot come from other players
- Consider scaling even though players go once every 4 turns
Learnings
Next Steps

Goals for this Module
Progress
- What I accomplished:
- Got some feedback on the instructions of the game from my roommate
- Presented my game prototype and received some feedback (see below)
- Challenges faced:
- Time conflicts with other classes and other people’s schedules (my roomates)
- Solutions:
- Wait until midterms/projects and such calm down
Feedback
- What block was and how it works was unclear, added rules section about it
- Check how you apply debuffs and buffs, so they don’t get wasted or whatever
- You can change how the classes work to incentivize different positions for different characters. Debuffers always want to go first, so give them something special if they go last, shielders always want to go last, give them something special if they go first, etc.
Free Thinking
- Game Brainstorming
- Talking ben as a boss
- For boss order, you could draft bosses from a deck (draw 3 pick 1), or, it could be
